Farah Nasser

Website redesign

Who is Farah Nasser?

Farah Nasser is a Canadian journalist, thought leader, and keynote speaker whose mission is to help organizations boost performance by teaching leaders how to build trust, empathy, and connection. As she transitions from her role as a news anchor into speaking, podcasting, and authorship, her digital presence must reflect her evolving brand and clearly communicate her value proposition to target audiences such as event organizers, media producers, and corporate clients.

This project focused on redesigning Farah’s website through a user-centered approach, ensuring it is visually engaging, easy to navigate and aligned with her personal brand. The research phase aims to uncover user needs, pain points, and expectations, as well as identify best practices from comparable websites. Insights from this research will directly inform design decisions, resulting in a site that strengthens her position as a credible thought leader and makes it simple for users to engage with her offerings.

Farah needed a modern, professional website to highlight her speaking, hosting, and media work. Her goal was to create a digital presence that reflects her brand values of authenticity, trust, and professionalism, while making it easy for event organizers, leaders, and media to connect with her.

Challenge

Farah’s existing site lacked:

  • A clear brand identity and emotional impact

  • Accessible design and intuitive navigation

  • A structured way to showcase her services, credibility, and past work

The challenge was to redesign her digital experience into one that is bold, accessible, and engaging, while maintaining usability and clarity for diverse audiences.

Research & Discovery

“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

I began with data gathering and stakeholder interviews:

  • Reviewed analytics on her existing site to understand drop-off points

  • Conducted a competitor analysis of other high-profile speakers and journalists

  • Interviewed Farah about her goals, audiences, and pain points

  • Identified key user groups: event organizers, corporate leaders, media producers

Key Insights:

  • Users needed to quickly find what Farah offers (services, topics, past work)

  • Credibility cues (partners, testimonials, affiliations) were essential

  • A modern, bold aesthetic aligned best with her personal brand expression
